In one day, and with one vote, our lives changed with the election of the 45th President of the United States. The impact of that event was felt worldwide and just as deeply within the LBGTQ community.
Now we are looking for lesbian stories, fiction, and non-fiction, poetry, essays, anything about fears imagined and realized. Stories about how our lives have been impacted by this election, and this Administration. Stories about our hopes and dreams, and our nightmares. Stories about those of us who have lived through these attitudes for the first time around and thought we were past fighting for these basic rights. Stories about those of us who never experience these type of things and how we’re dealing with it now. Let us seek solace and solidarity together with pen and prose.
We’re looking for poems of any length, short stories or essays between 6,000 and 8,000 words. Please send your submissions via the submission form by 12 Noon Eastern, November 11, 2017.
